Brainwave Entrainment involves exposure to pulsing lights that oscillate at a certain frequency, matching or guiding the brain’s natural electrical rhythms. At any given moment, your brain produces different types of brainwaves, including delta (sleep state), theta (sleep awake state), alpha (relaxed awake state), and beta (alert awake state). When exposed to flashing lights at specific frequencies, the brain naturally synchronizes with those rhythms, which can influence how alert, relaxed, or focused the person becomes.
Resonance Studios uses a custom built light arm to deliver light pulses in a gentle yet effective way. The frequency of the pulsing light is adjusted to target different brainwave states (e.g., alpha, theta, delta), promoting the goal of the particular session program.
"Think of the vagus nerve as the break pedal that helps the body and mind slow down in order to counter the harmful effect of a chronic unmanaged stress response."
Stephen Porges, Kinsey Institute
Vibroacoustic therapy uses low frequency sound waves to produce vibrations that are transmitted through the body. These low frequencies resonate with tissues and organs, affecting the body's cells in a way that can promote recovery and relaxation.
The vibrations are delivered via a vibroacoustic bed equipped with speakers that allow our guests to lie down comfortably while the low-frequency sound waves are transmitted directly to the body. The sound also plays through headphones, providing a combined audio and physical experience.
